Afghan Educational Children Circus

AECC is an Afghan non-profit organization dedicated to empowering children and young people. Established in 2008, it has grown into a countrywide education program focusing on teaching children to lead. AECC is active in 5 zones of Afghanistan with its regional centers and has an estimated total average of 1500 children attending its weekly activities.

The objective of AECC is to promote the rights and well-being of Afghan children and youth, as well as their education and joy of life, through performances, workshops and other creative activities.

Depending the time of the year and locations, AECC runs activities such as theatre, story-telling, workshops, games, artistic training, sports, children conferences, children media, children national and regional festivals, championships, youth circus, and teacher trainings.
AECC runs a National Program in which all its regional satellite centers implement comprehensive, harmonized activities all around the year. AECC’s primary beneficiaries are mainly underprivileged children and youth from IDP (Internally Displaced Persons) camps, to children of orphanages, streets to average school children.

AECC’s mobile teams conduct workshops and make educational performances with themes such as:
